Editorial Policy

This page explains how content on PW Live (pwlive.net) is planned, researched, written, reviewed and corrected. We publish it because readers should know how the articles they rely on are made.

How we research

Every article starts with a question a reader is likely to ask. Before writing, we look at what official bodies, established institutions and experienced practitioners say about the subject, and we identify where information tends to be confusing or out of date.

Writers are expected to understand a topic well enough to explain it plainly, not just summarise other articles. Where a subject involves changing facts, such as exam patterns or platform features, we check the current official position before publishing.

Sourcing standards

  • Official sources first. For exams, we rely on the conducting body. For products, we rely on the provider’s official website. For policy, we rely on the responsible government department.
  • Primary over secondary. We prefer original documents, announcements and data over reports about them.
  • Opinions are marked. When a writer expresses a view or recommendation rather than a fact, the wording makes that clear.
  • No invented specifics. We do not fabricate statistics, quotes, studies, prices or product features. If a number is illustrative rather than sourced, we say so.
  • Links where useful. We link to external sources when they help the reader verify a claim or go deeper.

Independence

PW Live is independent. We are not affiliated with Physics Wallah, any exam board or any institution we write about. Nobody can pay to be covered, ranked or recommended.

We do not currently run sponsored content. If we ever do, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored at the top of the article and held to the same accuracy standards as everything else. Guest articles are reviewed and edited by our team and may not contain promotional links.

Updates and dating

Articles carry a published date and, where relevant, an updated date. When facts change, we revise the article rather than leaving outdated guidance online. Substantive updates are noted within the article.

We review evergreen pieces periodically and give priority to those covering time-sensitive topics such as exams, fees and application processes.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. When a reader or a member of the team identifies a mistake:

  1. We verify the correct information against a reliable source.
  2. We update the article.
  3. For significant errors, we add a short correction note explaining what changed.

Minor fixes such as typos or broken links are made without a note. To report an error, email hassan@zavify.co.uk with the page URL and the correction.

AI-assistance disclosure

Our team may use AI tools to assist with parts of the writing process, such as outlining, drafting, summarising research or checking grammar. AI tools are never the final author.

Every article is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by a human editor before publication. We are responsible for everything we publish, regardless of which tools helped produce it. AI-generated text is not published without human review.

Reader feedback

Reader feedback improves the site. If an article is unclear, incomplete or missing something you needed, tell us. We read every message and use feedback to decide what to update and what to write next. Reach us at hassan@zavify.co.uk or through the Contact page.
